Vancouver Fire Rescue Service
Vancouver Fire Rescue Services partnered with CMHA Vancouver-Fraser Branch in 2016 to co-develop and co-facilitate Resilient Minds in BC. They are committed to the health and safety of their staff and the community, and enhance awareness through education and involvement while providing world class fire and rescue services. In addition to fire suppression, they provide pre-hospital care, vehicle rescue, marine response, hazardous materials response, technical rescue, and many other emergency services in Vancouver.
FIREWELL
FIREWELL‘s continuous evaluation of Resilient Minds is key to ensuring we remain a high quality, evidence-informed program. FIREWELL is a national team of fire fighters (full-time, part-time, volunteer), researchers and people interested in fire fighter health who are working together to improve fire fighters’ health and safety through research. Their goal is to develop and share tools that can be helpful in supporting healthy work participation specifically for fire fighters.
Canadian Institutes of Health Research
The Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR) has funded Resilient Minds’ efforts to build capacity for a multi-year research project. CIHR is Canada’s federal funding agency for health research. Composed of 13 Institutes, we collaborate with partners and researchers to support the discoveries and innovations that improve our health and strengthen our health care system.
